Bio

In 2006 Tim Cofield made the move to Chattanooga, TN in hopes of getting a fresh take on writing, recording and performing original songs. Cofield thoroughly enjoys the Chattanooga music scene and is proud to be called a Chattanooga musician. "There is an amazing pool of talent growing in this city," remarks the friendly, young talent. Cofield is working on a new EP which he hopes to have released by July of 2010. Cofield is originally from Dryden, Ontario where he spent the first 18 years of his life. Growing up in the Canadian wilderness shaped his style of song-writing in a unique way. "When you grow up on a lake, 30 minutes from the nearest town (population 8,000), you learn to listen to everything around you in a different way." These influences can be heard in songs like Eskimo Mary and Stars and Their Courses.

REFERENCES

"I have an eye and ear for musical talent and Tim impressed me with his unique voice and creative lyrics the first time he played our open mic night last summer. Since then he has been a regular fixture as a featured artist. I am proud to say that I gave Tim his first gig in Chattanooga. Hopefully he will remember the little people when he moves on to bigger and better things."
